RIP Phil Rickman, author of Midwinter of the Spirit

Have just seen the very sad new that Phil Rickman, author of the Merrily Watkins series of supernatural/crime novels (and the one we got to do for television, MIDWINTER OF THE SPIRIT) has died. Merrily was a great character and Phil was wary of an atheist writing about a Christian, but I think I largely won him over. Anyway, I feel proud that we got a chance to put her on the small screen, thanks to ITV. It's only a pity we didn't get to do more. RIP
